Yeah, me neither... Right....
Last week we shot Haidyn for the August 2010 cover of ParentLife for LifeWay. The day was absolutely gorgeous but the light was way too harsh for what we needed.
The Solution? Ask Williamson County to flip one of their buses around and angle it so that the sun is on the opposite side of the bus, giving us a nice shadow to shoot in.
HUGE thanks to Joe King with the Williamson County Transportation Department for taking such great care of us and allowing us to shoot on the property and literally offering to have the buses moved anywhere we asked! Talk about service!
The Cover
When we were done with the shoot Haidyn leaned over to me and whispered "Can we get on the bus?" So of course I looked behind me to see if anyone was watching and she and I ran for it...lol...
Haidyn was so cute. She's never ridden a bus before so she asked if she could get on the bus one more time just so she could get off of it again. Love it!
Bus Driver, Andy Smith (This wonderful gentleman moved the bus a half a dozen times for us as we tried to get just the right shadow to shoot in in the harsh light.) Thank you Andy!
Haidyn, you did SUCH a great job and I had so much fun getting to know you and working with you! You are an absolute delight and such a leader! Just plain INCREDIBLE!! =)
Always remember that the Lord made you for a VERY special reason. Psalms 139 says that the Lord has special plans for your life, Haidyn, adventures He has just for you and Him. The Bible also says that when we believe in Christ, NOTHING can ever separate us from God's love- no matter what. Sometimes friends and other people let us down, but the Lord never will! You can always trust Him and always know that He loves you more than anything in the whole wide world!! =)
Well, again, you are oh so special and it was just such a delight to spend time with you!

Lovely! It always sounds like you have SO MUCH fun at your shoots!
I know my 3 year old would've died for a chance to get on the bus!! :) We sing about buses, we read about buses, we talk about buses, and we pass them daily on the street. But, as she's 3, she's never been on one. So for her, it's this somewhat mythical, bigger than life thing for her!

Haidyn said that you were beautiful and your hair smelled so good..and I said, "When did you smell her hair?". She said, "On the bus when we took pictures together!!" Lol:)
